How do I activate the card I purchased at a store?

You can activate (sometimes referred to as “register”) your temporary GO2bank debit card by going to GO2bank.com/start and following the prompts. You’ll be asked to provide the below info to verify your identity*

– 16-digit debit card number​

– Expiration date​

– 3-digit security code (found on the back of your card)​​

– Email address 

– First and last name

– Home address​

– Date of birth and Social Security number

– Mobile phone number (for verification and security purposes)

You will also need to create a password to access your account online and a PIN for ATM withdrawals and card purchases.

We’ll send a personalized, chip-enabled card to the home address you provide. You can continue to use your temporary debit card until you receive and activate your chip-enabled debit card.

*We’re required to collect this information in accordance with The USA PATRIOT Act — a Federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies anyone who successfully opens an account with us.

Online access and identity verification

(including Social Security number) is required to open an account. Mobile number or email address verification and mobile app are required to access all features. Federal law requires a person to be 18 or older to open an account.
